Emerge!

Women Emerge! We hunkered down for a long winter, hibernated in the warmth of the Son and now we are being released, like pollen in the spring breeze...it is time for us to emerge! For each of us that emergence looks different - whether it is a caterpillar into a butterfly or mama bear and her cubs emerging from slumber, or the growth of a seed into a beautiful flower. Whatever metaphor we feel like, we all emerge from the same place - intimacy with Jesus! Life begins with the author of life, renewal begins with a breath from heaven and emerging begins with a call from our Father to come forth as the apple of HIS eye! For some of us a season of death has quieted our souls, isolated us from reality or even cut us off from purpose. But death is only a season, a stage of life to the eternal. We are called to live for eternal things, things that will not burn or perish in fire. What are we doing in light of eternity? Snow covers the ground and protects and nourishes the life beneath it. Our season of what seemed to be death is making way for new life to emerge! We are called to become. What we become is the Master's design - that we become is our choice to emerge and follow His voice to arise and be! I am looking forward to this new year of new growth in my own life and I join the Father's call for you to come forth, to arise, to walk and to go forth!

Blessings,
kameren

From Dan Miller's 48 Days Newsletter!

When I was 10 years old, one of my best friends was Bob Queen. One afternoon while exploring the back acreage of our neighboring farms, a snake bit Bob. Seeing the snake slither off, my immediate response was to run after the snake, track him down and repay the scoundrel for what he had done to my friend. Bob, however, being a much wiser hunter and outdoorsman, quickly pulled out his knife, lanced the bite, sucked the blood out and spit out the poison. The focus for him was on his own well being, not on repaying the snake.

How often I see people chasing the snake in their own lives. The company folds or you just simply get laid off. The immediate reaction may include anger, resentment, bitterness, and backstabbing. These lead to discouragement, frustration, guilt and depression. Be aware that all of these reactions and feelings focus on the past. Turning around and looking to the future opens up confidence, boldness, and enthusiasm. These often lead to an increased sense of accomplishment, personal control, fulfillment and even money.

If Bob and I had chased that snake, the poison would have been given opportunity to plunge through his veins, draining his energy and perhaps leading to his death. What are you doing in your life? Are you chasing a snake in the past or pursuing a dream in the future? Choose carefully; your life may be at stake.

This week's quote:

The Lord is my strength and sheild,
my heart trusted in Him and I am helped!
Psalm 28:7
